Reload was born as a collective led by visual artist and performer Arcangel Soul (Barcelona, 1972), with an extensive international career, challenging the linear chronologies of art to propose an aesthetic where past and future collide with poetic and visual force.

His work is built around working with hand carved marble, this relationship with the material is enriched by his own visual language, baptized as retrofuturist art: a fusion between the traditional sculptural canon and contemporary codes drawn from popular culture, cinema, rock music, and the custom universe.

Far from a purely formalist vision, Reload proposes an intelligent reinterpretation full of humor of classical iconographies, desacralizing the great myths of Western art and introducing them into the flow of popular culture. This critical operation, sustained by a visual poetics as sharp as it is magnetic, overflows the limits of traditional sculpture to embrace an expanded aesthetic experience appealing to emotion, reflection, and play.

Reload’s imagery finds its strength precisely in the hybridization between the eternal and the ephemeral, the cultured and the popular, the canonical and the countercultural. Each work is a multifaceted piece, a trigger for multiple meanings where beauty coexists with provocation, and where history is rewritten from a critical and contemporary subjectivity. Materialized in noble marbles, these pieces fuse sculptural tradition with elements of pop culture, generating a renewed dialogue that revisits and revitalizes the artistic imagination from a fresh and vibrant perspective.

His work has been exhibited in museums, foundations, international fairs, and public spaces across Europe, Asia, and Russia, becoming part of important institutional and private collections.

Under the name Arcangel Soul, he developed a solid and recognized career, with numerous notable exhibitions and projects. Since his transition to Reload, he has consolidated his position with impactful solo exhibitions, such as those presented at the Museo de Archena, as well as at international fairs like SWAB Barcelona and Art Madrid.
